Book Creator for iPad App Reviews

After working for hours on shutterfly and failing, I was able to make 3 lovely books on this program in a short time with easy access to everything I wanted to produce. I had one tech question which was answered immediately with excellent support. I highly recommend this. As an amateur poet, I was able to share some of my work with grandkids and as an inspiration to anthers.

As an indie author of at least 10 ebooks, I was hoping for something to make the text to eBookstore easier. This app was not it. Between needing a Mac to actually publish to iBooks and limited support from Book Creator, there must be a better app. Save your $$.

I created a personal picture book for my son, and it is easy to use and works great with iBooks. I havent tried to publish anything, so not sure about that aspect. It has options for exporting to overdrive, nook and Evernote, but none of those exported picture books looked right at all (tiny pictures...text/ other pictures covering each other). Perhaps it works fine for a text only ePub, but if I was doing text only, Id probably use epubbud on my PC.

First time doing this, found it to be easy, user friendly. Looking forward to using the full version and, hopefully publish.

The app is truly a joy to use. It would be perfect if only we could send the finished books to Apple (to sell) from it without having to connect it to a Mac but alas a Mac is needed. This is why I give it 4 stars and the 5th star is ESPECIALLY for Dan Kemp. I wish to thank him for answering my novice questions with such politeness and professionalism. Rosy Sterner

I wrote lots of books. Like, Annies life, dogs, and they came out perfectly! I published them. I even have a editor...MY MOM!

Just downloaded this app and started using it with my fourth graders. They love it. User friendly and makes wonderful books. Easy to share and post as epubs or PDFs. Highly recommend. Company is fabulous to work with. Needs a ten star rating!!!!

This is a great app for putting together eBooks. It is intuitive and simple to create and share with others. I especially love the new addition of creating videos of my books because some people cant view an ePub and a PDF version doesnt allow video or audio functions to work, but a video allows them to view the book and its interactive possibilities. I would love to see the ability to insert websites and more shapes. I have several eBook apps, but this one is my favorite.

The update allowing for the ability to transfer the book to video for online use has set you way above your competitors...it was great to make a book, but sharing it was never easy..it befuddled many people that tried and most folks dont have the patience to try more than one time...now, they can simply watch the video...its seamless and uploaded quickly....thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

Wanted to be able to insert looping gifs into my book, failed with this.

Make it so you can have gifs and be able to upload to other things.

I have been using this app to record reading samples for my 1st and 2nd grade students. It is very user friendly and intuitive- even for those young kids. I like the features they have added that make it easy to save and send. I plan to record each student three times per year. We add pictures of the books and the kids own photo and thoughts on the book. Then the kids have their own "ebook" to save as a keepsake of a favorite book and their reading progress. When I have had questions the tech support has been more than helpful. Great app for my classroom!

This is a great app to use with students. It is easy to use and works seamlessly with the media available. Students should have no trouble creating a multimedia book to share with others. The Export features have many options available for sharing. I especially like the audio feature that allows the students to read the story or add sound effects. The creativity is endless! I would highly recommend this app for any classroom .. a “Must Have” in my list of essential tools !

Works really well. Easily create catalogs for your business. Print options and exports are great!

Good only for the simplest and shortest of projects. There are better free apps for other projects.

Fonts can be changed easily

One of the best apps of its kind in the industry. I am an iPad Art and Multi-media teacher that has used this app for two years to create books, video lessons and presentations. I use this app with grades K-6 and recently with adults. Parents, grandparents and educators will be able to create stories, draw, add voice, plus video - a wonderful communication and learning tool. If I could only have one app for my students this would be it. If you are a professional author writing a novel, not a good choice but for children or creating childrens interactive ebooks and iPad activities this is perfect. App is easy to learn, lots of functionality and the support is top notch.

It would be better if it had a DELETE button rather than just an UNDO button-backtracking takes too long. Also needs more choices in font selection and size of fonts available. Its very easy to use but doesnt really have the features I need & want.

Thank you for Book Creator. It saved my a lot of time getting my first childrens picture book, “Cardboard Box Dreams”, published on the iBook store. It was quick and easy to lay out my books images, add text, and even add sound effects. Also, the clean ePub output helped me to add animation and interactions.
